Our workshops and programmes are superb 'motivational inputs' for walking clubs, Active Retirement Associations, Arthritis Walking Groups, workplace health-promotion initiatives, etc. They are educational, practical, and sociable where participants;

- learn practical ways to improve their fitness through walking;
- get information to enable them maintain good levels of fitness afterwards.
- meet, mingle, and make new friends!

The workshops and programmes are often 'hosted and sponsored' by Local Sports Partnerships in their role to increase participation across their counties.

FitWALK
Workshop/Programme
the workshop
a 2hr workshop delivered indoors for up to 20 participants. The FitWALK Workshop is a mix of theory inputs and practical sections where participants learn better posture; good footwork and the techniques of Stridewalking and Powerwalking. A short intro to Nordic Walking is also incorporated.

a series of 4 once-weekly fitness walking sessions delivered indoors/outdoors for up to 20 participants. Each 1hr15min session includes a short educational input and a high-intensity fitness walking session (to music) which includes mobility, resistance and stretching exercises. Participants also learn better posture; good footwork and the techniques of Stridewalking and Powerwalking.

Participants learn to use poles to improve mobility, muscle strength, and balance. The sessions are made more interesting with the addition of music!
